Here's How to Optimized Mac OSX or Any Apple Mac Computer
1. Reduce login items or Startup Items
If your Mac is slow to boot up, the problem may be it simply has too many applications to open that it can't load the OS in a timely fashion. Many applications by default open automatically at startup. Go to System Preferences > Users & Groups and then click on the Login Items tab to see a list of the apps that open when you boot your Mac. Highlight the apps you don't want to open at startup and click the minus-sign button below the list of apps.
2. Dis-Able File Vault
Performance should improve after that. However, once the process is done, you can then uncheck FileVault encryption (which will also take some time to un-encrypt your hard drive) and then the performance should improve or even get better. Head over to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > FileVault and check your settings and make any changes. DEFINITELY CHECK THIS SETTING TO SEE IF IT IS ENABLED OR NOT OR IN PROCESS.
2. Clear Mac Cache
To clear your user cache, browser cache, and system cache, do the following: Open a Finder window and select “Go to Folder” in the Go menu. Type in ~/Library/Caches and hit enter to proceed to this folder. Optional step: You can highlight and copy everything to a different folder just in case something goes wrong.
